My client is an asylum seeker. He has no family or friends in Australia. Even though my client has been actively looking for jobs, applications have not been successful so far. My client has been surviving with no income for the last 6 months and now is in a desperate situation.
My client was recently diagnosed with diabetes and has no money to pay for appropriate food, medicine or GP appointments.
My client is living in a warehouse and the owner has been understanding but my client is falling behind rent and is at risk of homelessness.
