Elderly lady financial, physical health and psychological impact from Feb and Sep storms.
l am seeking support for this resident who has had a financial & sychological impact from the Feb 24 and Sep 24 storms living on a limited income receiving a pension.
This resident has had months dealing with insurance without success & additional stress has impacted on her already compromised physical & mental health. She lives with chronic health conditions & is now having additional health issues including nausea, loss of appetite, weight loss of 12 kg, sleeping issues which are being explored via her GP. She is still trying to recuperate the financial losses due to the storm impact including food spoilage, power surge to electrical items & debris clean up expenses. Due to the impact from the Feb & Sep storms, now on windy/stormy days she shakes & hides in the bath or under the bed. She is in ongoing hardship after recently being scammed $4000 via her bank account and has a sick 13 yo dog requiring vet assistance.
