This man with a disability has been homeless and without transport since the floods.
After suffering a brain injury as a child this man doesn't read or write well. The floods took his car which was his temporary home, He has been moved from one place to another since then but is not eligible for help from Housing. Living on the streets makes him anxious and vulnerable to violence and poor health. We are supporting him to purchase a mechanically sound but cheap second-hand car that can be a warm place to sleep, somewhere to keep his gear, a way to move on when feeling threatened and a way to get to friends, appointments, and eventually work.
