85 year old's life has fallen apart since flood and ill health in the family & in desperate need of support

The 82 year old resident and her husband were flooded twice in the last 10 years. They lost everything (including their $8,500 ride on mower) and was not able to afford insurance due to the high risk property.

After the recent floods her husband of over 50 years has developed dementia and Alzheimer's and has since lost the ability to maintain their 1 hectare property. He will be spending the remainder of his life in palliative care according to the resident.

The resident's son who has also recently found himself in a personal crisis (personally and health wise) is still trying to help his mother maintain the large property with a push mower in the recent hot weather with breaks her heart.

Resident was contemplating selling what she has left to purchase a ride on mower, but this will leave her with very little after her devastating loss following the two flood events. She has been very emotional and currently trying to navigate one hardship after the other.
