This service provides a number of family support and mental health programs for children, young people and their families.
This service provides a number of family support and mental health programs that are centred around the safety, wellbeing and mental health of children, young people and their families who are experiencing hardship and vulnerability. The programs provide mental health and wellbeing support to children and young people as well as wrap around family support, aimed at strengthening the parent-child relationship and building parents/carers capacity to care for and support their child/young person while addressing other challenges the family may be facing by making referrals and linking to other supports in their community e.g. housing, emergency relief. It's a not-for-profit service that works predominantly with families who are experiencing financial hardship and disadvantage. To achieve positive outcomes for children and their families, the Practitioners use a range of interventions including art and play therapies to help children engage with therapy and also support family bonding.
