39 yo indigenous woman with 5 children escaped serious DV, needs support to replace broken whitegoods and furniture.
This 39 year old Indigenous woman has separated from her partner following numerous serious domestic violence events. A Domestic Violence Order has been placed against her former partner to protect herself and her children. This woman is a single parent to 5 children that all live at home. The former partner of this woman trashed the house and she now finds herself in financial difficultly, struggling to support herself and her children. In the violent outbursts, ex-partner has smashed the lounge suite, all of the kitchen items including plates, bowls. Although she receives the Parenting Payment from Centrelink she cannot afford to replace damaged crockery, appliances, whitegoods and furniture for the home as well as afford basic necessities for her family. This woman has no family support and has limited social support, she is currently assisting her eldest son to apply for jobs and for payment supports to help the family. Any support we can offer this family would be amazing.
