Severely flood affected family, house completely destroyed & gutted. Have been displaced since floods.
Indigenous family have needed to secure a rental beyond their means & out of the area due to flood impact & lack of housing. Family are paying $900 a week on one wage. Needing to travel 40 minutes per day for husband to work & children to attend school. Family were told to move ahead with getting DA's & engineer reports as they would be approved for the house raising grant & have since been rejected & needing to fight in appeals process.
Father's physical & mental health is being significantly affected due to stress of continuing flood impact & financial distress.
Seeking support to cover some basic life costs to help support family in this incredibly stressful & difficult time.
