Our community member initially fled DV four years ago and provided care for her grandson in transitional accommodation before her grandson was returned to his mother, leaving her without accommodation options. This situation forced her back to her DV relationship where she spent another 3 years under the manipulative control and physical abuse of her ex-partner before being given temporary emergency accommodation again.
She is now in safe accommodation however needs urgent assistance in making the house a home. She has her adult daughter moving in with her who is also homeless and needing basic items.
